This meditation retreat is offered for the Trans*, Nonbinary, Gender Queer, Gender Variant, Gender Non-conforming, and Gender Expansive communities.
Grounded in the Dharma, kindness, and compassion, this will be a space supporting healing from injustice and oppression in daily life.
We will offer meditation, mindful movement, and heart-centered practices. These practices will be offered in silence, balanced with discussions and community-building group exercises that nurture radical connection, joy and resilience. Retreat is open to all levels of meditation practice, regardless of whether you identify as a Buddhist, and is an opportunity to practice in a space led and held by Trans* and Nonbinary identified individuals.
We are prioritizing BIPOC (Black Indigenous People of Color) practice, and will be holding spots for BIPOC retreatants. If you identify as white, you may be put on a waitlist as we process registration.
We will also be holding a spots for retreatants who identify as trans women, trans feminine, and/or nonbinary and genderqueer trans people on a feminine spectrum. In other words, people who are impacted by transmisogyny.
We are currently an all volunteer organization.
This retreat is offered freely, with no one turned away for lack of funds. There will be an opportunity to support the teachers and Dhamma Dena Meditation Center with donations / dana at the close of the retreat.
